Your tax deductible donation is in honor of Joette Storm, a remarkable friend and steward of public lands. Joette had a notable impact on public land conservation through her work at the Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service and as a founding board member of the Campbell Creek Science Center 501(c)(3), sharing her knowledge of and passion for conservation, education and philanthropic support of the great outdoors.
Serving on the Friends board from 2005 - 2010, Joette's enthusiasm, dedication, and leadership were critical. She raised nearly $185,000 for program support, leveraged more than $65,000 in in-kind contributions and created scholarships for economically-disadvantaged youth.
In 1974, while working for the BLM, she co-founded Outdoor Week, a program to teach 6th graders in the Anchorage School District about Alaska's outdoor habitats. This program helped inform the Science Center curriculum. Joette, her husband Gene, daughter Nina and their various dogs, enjoyed hiking Campbell Tract's trails for 42 years. Joette's legacy will be felt and cherished for decades to come. The Storm family thanks you for your contribution.
